Where to start? Right here by getting to know each other. So, for me, Allyson - your teacher, home is near Torres Novas. This is the view from home at night, with some creative adaptation! It takes me quite a while to get to the faculty - almost 3 hours! When I worked in London I thought 45 minutes was a long time. But I love the contrast of Lisbon life and living in the country. I live with my partner Jonathan, and Jaffa and Jinga. You will find out about them sooner or later!
I started learning to paint last year. One of my goals is to paint fabulous skies. Another is to play jazz piano. My favourite place is floating in a hanging chair, feet off the ground. My favourite meal is either a really good, home-made Italian pasta ( I make my own pasta), or a huge plate of vegetables with couscous. I lived in Algeria, hence the influence. My favourite place in Portugal is right here in Adofreire. That is another story! Looking forward to working with you this semester. Well, I'm Joana (Windmill), I’m eighteen years old and I live in Lisbon with my mother and my two cats (Channel and Zara, yeah… I have a thing for trademarks; I’ve got a dog named Nokia also). My course is “Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas” (English and Spanish).
…The most important person in my life is my cousin Heitor (to whom I pledge honor with a nice tattoo). Coming to this University was a quite difficult process, because I no longer sit next to my best friend Nuno, who used to make all classes slip away in a blink of an eye; but apart from that… is fun to meet new people and find better way to pass exams than call your best friend to come and make cheats with you. = )

It’s a sunny day here in Queluz and I'm listening to "Letting the Cables Sleep" by Bush.
I loved the painting. Seems like the land with the fire’s colours is being protected by the sky with the sea’s colours. I think it’s interesting to find the four natural elements in such a simple form composition.

I love reading, especially little stories written by anonymous writers who post their stories on the internet (believe me, most stories are really very good).
My best friend is my mom. People usually don't believe that, but it's true. My mom and I have been through a lot together and we've always been there for each other. If it wasn't for my mom's support, I wouldn't be where I am right now.
Apparently I'm not very good at blog addresses, cause I always tipped the wrong one when I tried to come here. If it wasn't for professor Allyson Roberts, I would still be tipping the wrong address.
